After hearing stories from customers who have had BAD experiences with other catteries, I finally decided to add this page to my website. Unfortunately, it has come to my attention that "KITTY MILLS" are REAL and in Texas! These breeders are selling sick cats and often with a high price tag....and then medical bills to keep it alive when you get the kitten home. Its' happening everyday!
So please go SLOW! Take your time! Care about HEALTH!

Chloe Grace’s birthday is 9/23/2023. We picked her up in December of 2023. Her birth name was Cynthia.Great experience. The worst part was waiting for the day to arrive so we could pick her up. We were sent pictures and videos of her regularly. She’s a very chill cat.
I would absolutely buy another cat from Big Tex Coons!

Bigtexcoons has blessed us with our fur baby Varufakus. Kim does not treat you lilke a customer, she treats you like family. She makes sure everyone of the furbabys are raised in a loving home surrounded by her amazing children and prepares them for their forever homes.They are full of personalities and cuddles. Varufakus is the perfect addition to our family we had been waiting for. He has been exciting to see him grow. He loves to cuddle and sleep with our mini aussie Shiro on the bed with us...even though he takes up most of the bed!!

I have always dreamed of owning a Maine Coone cat. When it came time to pick one out we reached out to BigTexCoons. They were quick to respond and sent photos and videos. Once we chose Swayze and paid a deposit they understood how hard it was to wait to pick up our precious baby. We were sent update photos and videos of his progress, Which meant the world to me.
Once it was time to pick him up, we were pleasantly surprised by what a wonderful temperament Swayze had. They did such a wonderful job loving on him and socializing him. He was not afraid of our young children, nor our golden doodle.
Now he has grown into such a shunning cat with a wonderful personality. Swayze has been such a dream come true. I highly recommend BigTexCoons!

Kim and her family truly treat the kittens as their own all the way up until you receive your kitten. They are constantly playing with them and showing them love & attention. Kim sent us photo/video updates constantly (which we loved), they are consistently with the kittens from birth so they are SO accilmated to people and children which was a huge plus.We have 3 maine coons in total, we got our 1st and 3rd from BigTexCoons...We got our second from another breeder after we moved across the country, and we could immediately tell a HUGE difference in the quality of breeder and attention our 2nd kitten got...it was NO where near what BigTexCoons does. Hence why we went back to the best for our 3rd! Kim also truly cares about the well being of the kittens/cats and the homes they go to. She checks in every so often just to see how they are doing, what they grew into and just because she's loves them just as us. We recommend BigTexCoons to everyone looking for Maine Coons. No one compares!
If you are beginning your search for a Maine Coone, please please do your due diligence and find a REAL quality breeder! Take your time to do the research. I also would say that as disappointing it is to have to be on a waitlist to get your future Maine Coon, sometimes for 2-3+ months, with a reputable breeder the wait is SO worth the wait.
